JDTOMP
It is a surgical fully open access and online-only peer-reviewed journal focused on publishing the articles of all types and highest quality dedicated to oral and maxillofacial surgery. Among published topics are: Microvascular and jaws reconstructive surgery, dental implants, salivary gland tumors/diseases, TMJ lesions, orthognathic surgery, implementation of ultrasound into the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
All articles will be peer reviewed for acceptance by editors for publication in the journal. Authors will be notified of this desicion and at the same time requested to pay an Article Publishing Charge (APC). Following payment of this charge (synonym: fee), articles will be made universally available and no further charge through dtjournal.org.
Impact Factor (as of Jun 21, 2024) = 0.2 (link). The impact factor (Fig) is determined by the Exaly, an international non-profit project.

Publication of an article or review in a journal with an impact factor according to the Order No. 446 of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine (dated February 22, 2019) gives 20 or 30 points, depending on whether it is a Ukrainian journal or a foreign one in the official languages of the European Union (EU).
Thus, a publication in the Journal of Diagnostics and Treatment of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology that (1) has an impact factor of 0.2, (2) has the vast majority (70.59%) of members of the Editorial Board of foreign countries, and (3) is published in English as the official language of the EU, allows each author to receive 30 points of the continuing professional development (CPD).
The CPD points are awarding according to the Criteria for Awarding CPD Points. Order No. 446 of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine: Appendix 4 to the Procedure for Certification of Doctors (Paragraph 4 of Chapter VI).
To confirm publication in such a journal, the author must provide a bibliographic reference for attestation.

Of the three existing types of CPD according to the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine, the publication of an article or review in a journal with an impact factor refers to informal education.

The website of our journal is adapted for laptop and smartphone users. It contains such sections as: (1) about the publication (ISSN, aims and scope, etc.), (2) editorial board, (3) ethics, (4) submission, (5) contacts, and (6) publisher pages.
The journal`s name is unique and indicates how important in modern life of oral and maxillofacial surgeons both the diagnostics and treatment. Ultrasonography, computed and magnetic resonance tomography and many others imaging techniques continue to develop, more surgeons receives additional degrees in those fields. Productive collaboration of Dr. Fesenko (Managing Editor) and Dr. Ahuja (Section Editor) (Fig 4) in the field of oral and maxillofacial and head neck ultrasound helped to attract more articles with ultrasound imaging modality than other journals focused on oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Short title of the journal (DT Journal) indicated at the website and cover page derived from the domain name of the publication and was created with a purpose to facilitate recognition, pronunciation of the official title (Journal of Diagnostics and Treatment of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology). Also, such short name simplifies the writing of the domain name in the browser bar.
The journal employs “double blind” rigorous reviewing.
Journal of Diagnostics and Treatment of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology is published for the Ukrainian Association for Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons (UAMOS) by three co-founders:
Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine (formerly known as Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education), Kyiv, Ukraine.
Private Higher Educational Establishment “Kyiv Medical University,” Kyiv, Ukraine.
OMF Publishing, Limited Liability Company, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine and Kyiv Medical University provide scientific support for the publication of the journal and OMF Publishing provides publishing process, marketing, advertising, etc.
Editorial Board (EB) shows significant geographic diversity representing 32 opinion leaders from 14 countries: Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Greece, Hong Kong (SAR, China), India, Israel, Italy, Slovak Republic, Spain, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America (Fig 5).

The majority of the editors and EB members (80.96%, i.e. 18 members) have a discernible publication history in Scopus, Web of Science, and journals with a high impact factor.
The publication records of all editors and EB members (Fig 6) are consistent with the stated scope and published content of the journal.
The journal have several full-time professional editors.
Gender distribution of the editors and EB members: 9.37% women (3 persons), 90.62% men (29 persons), 0% non-binary/other, and 0% prefer not to disclose.
In January 2022 was launched a unique position of Resident Ambassador (read the editorial) and Dr. Le (link) from University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA) became the Founding Ambassador.

Our journal and publisher apply publishing business model typical for the “pure gold” open access (i.e., fully open access) peer-reviewed journals which are supported by the payment of the article publishing charge (APC) and advertising. The articles of our journal are citing in the Scopus journals and publications with a high Impact Factor (like Atlas of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics, European Journal of Plastic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America [2020 Impact Factor = 2.802], Oral Diseases [2020 Impact Factor = 3.511], The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal [2020 Impact Factor = 1.433]), etc. The articles of the JDTOMP are also cited in such journals as Oral Oncology Reports and Military Medicine (Impact Factor = 1.2).
Our journal is the first and only peer-reviewed publication in Ukraine (East European country with more than 40 million of citizens) devoted to oral and maxillofacial surgery specialty.
The journal is known for many firsts in oral and maxillofacial surgery, including the first to publish ultrasonographic (video and images) and clinical report of mucus plugs in submandibular gland duct (May 2019) and the first ever published description of impact of surgeon`s Instagram television (IGTV) at which was shared chimeric fibula transplant (January 2020).
Journal of Diagnostics and Treatment of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology is a fully open access and peer-reviewed publication.
